Two (2) Year Limited Warranty

linedock comes with a two-year warranty. This warranty covers any manufacturing or workmanship defects but does not cover damages that may have resulted from normal wear and tear, misuse/abuse, or modification of the product. All warranty claims for items that were not purchased directly from www.linedock.co must include a proof of purchase from an authorized reseller on our Authorized Reseller page. Any item purchased from an unauthorized reseller will not be valid for returns or warranty claims.

Line will not be liable for any damages that may result from the use of any of our products. Our warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of property such as electronic devices and/or other personal property.

Line allows one (1) warranty claim per purchased linedock if said linedock is within our 2 year warranty.

LONG VERSION 📖

Subject to the Limitations, Exclusions and Disclaimers hereof, this limited hardware warranty (the “Limited Hardware Warranty”) is issued by AlphaLine Inc., doing business as “Line”, a Delaware corporation (“Line” or “we”). Line hereby warrants that the Line hardware product Line (“Product(s)”) sold by Line online at www.linedock.co and purchased for Customer’s use and not for resale, (i) conforms to Line’s user documentation and (ii) is free from defects in material and workmanship in hardware for a period of two (2) year from the Date of Purchase (the “Warranty period”). “Date of Purchase” as used in this Limited Hardware Warranty means the date on the sales receipt or, if an electronic purchase, the date of an electronic confirmation that the order has been received and accepted. This Limited Hardware Warranty is only extended to the original customer owner of the Product (“Customer” or “you”) and is therefore non-transferable, non-assignable and is voided when the Product is transferred to another party. Line’s sole obligation under this Limited Hardware Warranty, is to repair or replace the Product found to be defective within the Warranty Period, as defined below. This Limited Hardware Warranty is valid for Products purchased and used in the United States of America only, and is subject to the following terms and conditions.

WHAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY COVERS

Line warrants that the Product delivered hereunder to Customer will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use in accordance with Line published user documentation for the Warranty Period. Dated proof of purchase such as the Customer’s receipt is required to establish warranty eligibility. This Limited Warranty applies only to unmodified Products purchased from Line online and used in accordance with Line published user documentation. The term “Product” is limited to the hardware components of the product. The term “Product” DOES NOT include operating systems, software applications or programs, non-Line products, or non-Line peripherals. Therefore, this Limited Warranty applies only to hardware Products and does not cover or partially cover, any software, even if packaged or sold with Line hardware.

WHAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

Any misuse, unauthorized modification, improper installation, disassembly of the Product, excessive shock, attempted repair, accident, improper or negligent use or maintenance, any force majeure event (e.g., earthquake, lightning, flood, fire, etc.) or any other damage or failure caused by a third party or a third-party product shall render this Limited Warranty null, void and of no further effect. This warranty does NOT apply to: (i) Any consumable parts, including batteries; (ii) Third-party products and accessories used in connection with Line Products; (iii) Problems that result, directly or indirectly, from: a. External causes such as use of Product with defective cables or problems with electrical power; b. Usage not in accordance with Product instructions or failure to follow the Product instructions; c. Using accessories, parts or components not supplied by Line; (iv) Damages caused by use with a third-party component that does not meet Line published user documentation. (v) Products for which Line has not received payment; (vi) Normal wear and tear; (vii) Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents unless the damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (viii) Products with missing or altered serial numbers; (ix) Stolen Products or if you are unable to deactivate passcode-enabled or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to Line Product, and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the Product.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDY

IF THE HARDWARE PRODUCT FAILS TO WORK AS WARRANTED ABOVE, CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. LINE’ MAXIMUM LIABILITY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF THE PRICE PAID BY CUSTOMER FOR THE PRODUCT OR THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY HARDWARE COMPONENTS THAT MALFUNCTION IN CONDITIONS OF NORMAL USE. LINE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE PRODUCT OR THE FAILURE OF THE PRODUCT TO PERFORM, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS OR SAVINGS OR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. LINE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM MADE BY A THIRD PARTY OR MADE BY CUSTOMER FOR A THIRD PARTY. WHAT CUSTOMER SHOULD DO IF THERE IS A WARRANTY ISSUE If the Product is found to be defective during the Limited Warranty, Customer must first contact Line Customer Support Team by email at hi@linedock.co. If Line’s Customer Support Team determines that Customer’s Product is defective and qualified under warranty coverage, Line will issue a Return Materials Authorization (“RMA”) number. Customer will properly package, insure, and ship, prepaid by Line, the defective Product to Line Return Center. Returns that don’t qualify under warranty coverage or returned Products sent to Line without an RMA will be rejected and will be returned to Customers at Customer’ expense. It is therefore important that Customer should contact Line Customer Support Team first. Damage or loss of goods during shipment to Line return location is the responsibility of Customer. Line will pay all packing, shipping, and insurance to ship the repaired or replaced Product to Customer. Customer should be prepared to provide Line with a detailed description of the problems or errors, a description of the Product, including serial number, name and version of the Product. Line may request that Customer take certain actions to determine whether the problem or error is related to the hardware or other item. Customer shall reasonably cooperate with Line during that time.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL LINE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REVENUE, PRODUCTION, OR USE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY, OR THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY PRODUCT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT OR TORT, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF LINE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. LINE DOES NOT WARRANT ANY SOFTWARE PRODUCTS UNDER THIS LIMITED HARWARE WARRANTY. ADDITIONALLY, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LINE’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL LIABILITIES, OBLIGATIONS OR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ALL PRODUCTS SOLD UNDER LIMITED HARWARE WARRANTY, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY CUSTOMER TO LINE FOR THE PRODUCT(S) UPON WHICH LIABLITY IS BASED. THESE LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION ARISE FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT, INDEMNITY, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OR IF THE LOSS OR DAMAGE COULD HAVE BEEN REASONABLY FORESEEN. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT LINE HAS SET ITS PRICES AND ENTERED INTO THIS AGREEMENT IN RELIANCE UPON THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND THE DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTIES AND DAMAGES SET FORTH HEREIN, AND THAT THE SAME FORM AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN THE PARTIES. THE PARTIES AGREE THAT THE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILTY AND DISCLAIMERS SPECIFIED IN THIS AGREEMENT WILL SURVIVE AND APPLY EVEN IF FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF THEIR ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS CUMULATIVE AND NOT PER INCIDENT (I.E. THE EXISTENCE OF TWO OR MORE CLAIMS WILL NOT ENLARGE THIS LIMIT). Nothing in this Line Limited Hardware Warranty affects any statutory rights of consumers or other purchasers that cannot be waived or limited by contract. This Limited Hardware Warranty gives Customer specific legal rights, and Customer may also have other rights which vary from state to state, country to country and jurisdiction to jurisdiction. This Limited Hardware Warranty shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the United States and of the State of Delaware, without regard to the conflicts of laws principles thereof. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is specifically disclaimed. The state and/or federal courts residing in San Francisco County, California shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of these hardware warranty terms.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE WARRANTY PRINTED ABOVE IS THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, RELATING TO OR ARISING FROM THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF AND THE FOREGOING WARRANTY SHALL NOT BE EXTENDED, ALTERED OR VARIED EXCEPT BY WRITTEN INSTRUMENT SIGNED BY LINE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, SO SUCH LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMER. EXCLUSIONS Line does not warrant that the operation of this Product will be uninterrupted or error-free. Line is not responsible for any interoperability or compatibility issues that may arise when 1. products, software, or accessories not supported by Line are used; 2. configurations not supported by Line are used; or 3. parts intended for one system are installed in another system of different make or model. CUSTOMER SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE DATA STORED ON HER HARD DRIVE OR OTHER STORAGE DEVICES AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE FAILURES, ALTERATION, OR LOSS OF THE DATA. BEFORE RETURNING ANY PRODUCT, CUSTOMER MUST BE SURE TO BACK UP DATA AND REMOVE ANY CONFIDENTIAL, PROPRIETARY, OR PERSONAL INFORMATION. LINE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF ANY PROGRAMS, DATA, OR REMOVABLE STORAGE MEDIA. LINE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESTORATION OR REINSTALLATION OF ANY PROGRAMS OR DATA OTHER THAN SOFTWARE INSTALLED BY LINE WHEN THE PRODUCT IS MANUFACTURED. SEVERABILITY If any provision of this Limited Hardware Warranty shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent any express or implied restrictions are not permitted by applicable laws, these express or implied restrictions shall remain in force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by such applicable laws.
