Quintessence of Power Delivery
USB-C has a specific and complex protocol to manage power. Called Power Delivery 2.0, it compounds over hundreds of different power profiles. LINEDOCK is compatible with all of them, meaning it can be charged from any USB-C charger. More power from a single charger
Smart Power Allocation (SPA) works by simply connecting a charger to the central port of the LINEDOCK. Connect 5 devices at 0% battery to a Linedock at 0% battery... then plug a charger to the LINEDOCK back port. SPA will allocate the power from the charger to all devices until everything is 100% charged. SPA is ideal if you have multiple devices to charge overnight. What's the Warranty and Lifetime Repair ?
Your LINEDOCK comes with a One-year Limited manufacturer warranty . You can find out more information about our Warrranty on our Warranty page here. We do offer Lifetime Repair though. This means that if your warranty has expired, or that you're experiencing an issue that not covered by our warranty ("Oops I broke/scratched it", "I want a new battery", "I messed up with the SSD install", etc.) that's totally fine.

What is the Return Policy ?
If you have changed your mind regarding your LINEDOCK, we will accept returns within thirty (30) days upon the delivery of your Product and in accordance with the Return Procedure detailed on our support page here.

How do I connect a display ?
1/Connect a USB-C charger to the back port of your LINEDOCK.
2/ Connect a USB-C cable to your LINEDOCK and MacBook (make sure that your capable is supporting Video).
3/ Connect your HDMI or MiniDisplay Port Screen to your LINEDOCK. You're all set !
What is the screen resolution ?
40K 30Hz.
Do I need to charge my LINEDOCK to access Display functionalities ?
Yes. To get the best out of your setup, make sure your LINEDOCK is connected to a Power Source at all time while using it in Docking mode.
MiniDisplay Port or Thunderbolt 2 ?
The LINEDOCK 13" has a Mini DisplayPort allowing for video display. This port has the same shape as Thunderbolt 1 or Thunderbolt 2 connectors, but it will not work as one. Connecting a Thunderbolt 1 or 2 monitor to your LINEDOCK through the Mini DisplayPort will not work. The Apple Cinema Display is unfortunately not compatible with the LINEDOCK 13”.
Charging
How does Pass-Through charging work ?
When connected to a charger (60W or more), LINEDOCK can spread up to 100W of Power across all your connected devices. Pass-Through charging is ideal to keep your MacBook and 4 additional devices fully charged while working.
Do I need to charge my LINEDOCK to access its functionalities ?
When using your LINEDOCK at your desk, we recommend keeping a charger connected to the back port at all time. This way, you will keep both your MacBook and your LINEDOCK charged up, while charging any additional devices connected to your LINEDOCK. If your LINEDOCK battery is depleted, you won't be able to access the docking and storage features anymore.
What happens if the LINEDOCK battery is depleted ?
When the LINEDOCK battery is empty, the LED next to the power button will turn red and you won't be able to access the drive, nor use it as a regular dock.
My MacBook battery is going down. What's going on ?
Sadly your MacBook will continue indicating a charging sign despite it is actually not charging from the LINEDOCK anymore. We hope Apple will fix this soon :) Meanwhile, take a quick look at your LINEDOCK battery LED indicator. If the light is red, that's because your LINEDOCK battery is dead, hence your MacBook battery going down.
How can I charge my LINEDOCK ?
We recommend only using your Apple original USB-C Power Adapter to power your LINEDOCK from the back port. If you do not have an Apple Power Adapter, we recommend using one from an equivalent renowned brand. Cheap Power Adapters may provide insufficient power to your LINEDOCK which may damage the battery over time, increase charging time and limit your usage.
Compatibility
Which laptop should I use with my LINEDOCK ?
The 13" LINEDOCK is designed for the 13" MacBook Pro and 13" MacBook Air equipped on with Thunderbolt 3 ports only.
The 13” LINEDOCK is not compatible with the 15" and 16" MacBook Pro as those have different power requirements.
Windows laptops are not yet compatible with the 13" LINEDOCK but we are working on it.
Which cable should I use with my LINEDOCK ?
Sadly not all cables were created equal, even though they all look identical. It is important to inspect the protocol they carry to know if you can use them to charge your devices, transfer data and/or display content.
As an example, USB-C 2.0 cable do not support video transmission, so if you use them to send video to a monitor, it won't work.
Using a Thunderbolt 3 cable will work fine as Thunderbolt 3 cables are retro-compatible with USB-C for Power, Video and Data. Data transfer speed is 5GB/s as per USB 3.1 Gen 1 specifications.
We therefore recommend using full-featured USB-C cables such as the provided short USB-C cable with your LINEDOCK 13" to avoid any unpleasant surprise.
The Cubicable is designed for the LINEDOCK 15" and LINEDOCK 16" exclusively.
Which USB-C device can I use with my LINEDOCK ?
The LINEDOCK 13" is compatible with most USB-C devices. Basically, this means that any of your devices using USB-C technology will work perfectly well with a LINEDOCK.
The LINEDOCK 13" is however not compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices. For example, your Thunderbolt 3 external drive or your Thunderbolt 3 monitor will not work with your 13” LINEDOCK.
Which USB device can I use with my LINEDOCK ?
The LINEDOCK 13" compatible with USB 3.0 technology. This means that your LINEDOCK will work with any USB powered device: USB sticks, mice, keyboards, editing consoles, controllers, etc.
